AT&T wants a tax refund

AT&T has filed a lawsuit against the state Department of Revenue and every county in the state, alleging state and county officials have not been appraising their personal property properly and they deserve a property tax refund.

The lawsuit says the company has personal property valued at $932.2 million across the state, mainly cell phone towers and other means of infrastructure. In Grays Harbor, the property is valued at $2.3 million.

The Grays Harbor County commissioners received a copy of the lawsuit, filed in Spokane Superior Court, on June 27.
