Annual GGHI banquet and awards is Oct. 12

Greater Grays Harbor Inc. will host the 127th annual Leaders Banquet and Business Recognition Awards on Oct. 12 from 5:30-9 p.m. at the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino in Ocean Shores. The community is invited to come recognize the contributions of the business community in Grays Harbor.

Here are the nominees in no particular order:

Small business of the year: Barene DenAdel, Windermere Real Estate, Al’s Humdinger and Harbor Blooms.

Nonprofit of the year: WeFish, Westport South Beach Historical Society, Paws of Grays Harbor and Connections: Center for Healthy Families.

New business of the year: Tides & Anchors, Overstock.com, Hoquiam Brewing Co. and Aberdeen Art Center.

Large business of the year: Cosmo Specialty Fibers, Oyhut Bay, Vaughan Co. and Quigg Bros., Inc.

The winner of each category will be announced during the banquet.

Business After Hours in Monte

The October Business After Hours will be hosted by Marni’s Petal Pushers Floral and Gift shop in Montesano on Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 5:30-7 p.m. The address is 114 S. Main St.

Each month, a business or organization in the county receives the opportunity to host this event and offer locals a chance to meet up with some familiar faces and engage with new community members.
