Goodwill has a presence in Aberdeen at Grays Harbor WorkSource, providing job training and services to low-income senior citizens looking to go back to work.
“We’re excited to expand our presence in the community,” said Terry Hayes, CEO of Tacoma Goodwill. The Aberdeen store, Goodwill’s 29th in its 15-county service area, hired 30 individuals from the Grays Harbor area.
“Our customers can expect great products at great prices with outstanding customer service. The bonus is that by spending their money at our store they help support their community with jobs and training along with supporting the Goodwill mission,” said Ron Warren, the store’s local manager. “[One of our goals is] providing jobs for people in Grays Harbor County, in a community where the unemployment rate exceeds the state average.”
Warren has been the manager of the Olympia Goodwill store for the past year and previously at the Lacey store for four years. He lives in Elma and will supervise the staff.
The store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 360.532.0209.
