The Elma Chamber of Commerce presented the Business of the Quarter Award, for the third quarter of 2013, to Cut Rate Auto Parts of Elma. Shauna DePrato, board treasurer, and Debbie Adolphsen, Chamber director. Cut Rate Auto Parts was established in 1955. Tracy Leckenby, Larry DeMoss and Chuck Monte are the owners of the Elma store as well as a store in Aberdeen and Olympia. Cut Rate Auto Parts of Elma has six full-time employees. The store is open seven days a week. Cut Rate supports the Elma community in a variety of ways. The store donates to multiple non-profit groups throughout the year. In addition they sponsor car shows throughout Grays Harbor and Thurston counties, including the annual Heat on the Street Car & Motorcycle Show in Elma.
