Mindy Portschy, Human Resources Manager at Summit Pacific Medical Center was awarded the Washington Hospitals Workers’ Compensation Trust 2013 Special Claims Award in recognition of her outstanding past leadership, service and dedication to employee health and safety in the hospital’s workers’ compensation program.
During 2013, Portschy was part of the leadership team that guided the move and transformation of Mark Reed Hospital into the new Summit Pacific Medical Center. The transition to the new facility included the addition of new staff and more responsibility and her peers praised her for her responsiveness, fairness, resourcefulness, calmness and efficiency.
Hospital District Commissioner Amy Thomason accepted the award on Portschy’s behalf at the annual Washington State Hospital Association Annual Meeting in Seattle on October 17.
“I was pleased to accept this award for Mindy,” Thomason said. “It is another example of the competent staff and leadership at Summit Pacific Medical Center.”
