Agencies streamline business roster process

In a time when competition for work is high, it is important for businesses to learn about as many job opportunities as possible. One area of work that construction and consulting businesses sometimes overlook is government public works contracting. The MRSC Rosters service makes becoming aware of small government projects convenient through a free online roster application.

357 Washington cities, counties, and special purpose districts statewide use MRSC Rosters to connect with businesses, including five Grays Harbor County public agencies. Among them are Elma School District and Grays Harbor County Fire District No. 2. A full list of participating public agencies can be found on the MRSC Rosters website at www.mrscrosters.org.

To support efficiency in completing small public works projects, most Washington local governments have the ability to utilize a roster contracting process where they can directly contact businesses with job notifications. Specifically, public agencies can use their hosted small public works roster for construction, repair, and maintenance services under $300,000.00 and their consultant roster for small to medium-sized architectural, engineering, and surveying projects, as well as some other professional services, such as environmental management and design planning.

Businesses who provide small works or consulting services may register for free at any time in the MRSC Rosters website at www.mrscrosters.org.
