ELMA — Hundreds of fairgoers attended the annual talent show at the Grays Harbor County Fair on Aug. 8.

In the adult division, Kelsey Hamilton of Montesano took top honors, followed by John Boling of Elma and Erica Rose of Montesano. In the teen division, Madisyn Dockery of Tumwater took first place. Taking second was Grace Aiken of Montesano and third was Hoquiamite McKenna Hansen with a song from “Les Misérables.”

The junior division saw the most entries with Emma Jensen of Montesano taking first place with a cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Undo it.” Taking second was Natalia Horton of Elma and third was Brenna Badgley of Elma with her song, “Love Song.”

Horton, 8, may have taken second, but stole the show with her rendition of “Barn Cat,” which she performed while dressed as a cat — including black claws and a tail. Eden Burton, 7, of Aberdeen was the only contender not to sing — bringing her fiddle to the show. And Presley Leithold of Montesano came in full costume as a character from the Disney hit “Frozen,” singing “Let it Go.”
