• The Montesano Community Education Program will present the crime prevention and personal safety seminar “Refuse To Be A Victim.” 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The seminar is open to the public. • Bill Brookshire Bike Rodeo. 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This local event put on by the Montesano Police Department encourages safe bike riding skills and recognizing street signs. A prize drawing and the give-away of several bicycles is part of the event and each child will recieve a free bike helmet. Montesano High School parking lot, 303 N. Church St.

• Washington State Parks will celebrate National Get Outdoors Day with a FREE DAY. A Discover Pass is not required to visit state parks. The Discover Pass is required to visit recreation lands managed by the Department of Fish and Wildlife and Department of Natural Resources.

• The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission and Washington State Parks Foundation will host “The Get Outdoors Adventure Awaits Expo,” to celebrate National Get Outdoors Day. 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The expo, which will take place on the Washington State Capitol Campus, is open to the public to enjoy a wide range of activities including hikes, outdoor equipment demonstrations, lawn games and live music. The Governor will close the expo at 3:30 p.m. Washington State Capitol, 1500 Jefferson St. SE, Olympia.
